Passionate followers of the actress are calling for that a individual who breached a fence and touched the actress during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be detained or removed from Singapore.

A circulating clip depicts the Australian man bypassing camera operators and lunging at Grande while the performers walked down a event pathway accompanied by fans.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being led away of the event by security officers.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being detained", though court documents revealed that he was scheduled to be present on the next day. It is not clear if he was charged.

History of Event Invasions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has invaded a concert or event. His Instagram account features clips of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at the artist's Sydney show in recently and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the area last December.

"Measures must be taken applied against him as this is clearly a legal violation," stated an Instagram user, in a message to a video Mr Wen posted of his behavior.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user remarked.

Followers Express Concern Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Numerous supporters blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had revealed suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the end of her spring 2017 performance in Manchester, killing 22 people and wounding many.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented one more comment on Instagram.

Several supporters also faulted guards at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while some called for online networks to block Mr Wen's videos.

Response and Event Details

In clips shared widely, Grande appeared startled when she was approached by the individual. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by guards.

Grande has not commented on the event, and the remaining proceedings continued without further issues.

Hundreds of Singapore attendees had lined up to greet the actors of Wicked

Many of attendees had assembled in a sea of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional launch in a Singapore mall, including some who had queued for as long as eight hours before it commenced.

The film, to be released on the 21st of November, is the follow-up of a two-film interpretation of the well-known stage musical Wicked, which revolves around the unexpected relationship between two distinct characters.

The show itself is a derivative of the 1900 children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the good witch Glinda, was adorned in a champagne pink sparkling outfit at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble embroidered with roses.

They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the top-earning film of 2024 in the UK, and earned a dozen Oscar nominations, earning a pair for best costume and production design.
