Vince Zampella, Has Passed Away in a California Car Crash
The visionary game developer, renowned for co-creating the wildly popular franchise Call of Duty, has died in a car accident in the state of California he was 55 years old.
The tragic news was verified by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the video game company which he helped establish.
The renowned industry figure died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a motorway in LA on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"We are facing an unimaginable loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's loved ones, his loved ones, and the countless individuals inspired by his creative vision," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts commented.
