The return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread excitement across the fandom. From the one-by-one unveiling of fresh additions ahead of the game's launch, to trainers forming strong opinions on the full roster of new Megas, there's plenty for fans to anticipate.

Given many of the Super Forms boasting unique appearances that emphasize their traits, one thought naturally: How can connect this with zodiac signs? The following is inspired by a mix of vibes, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.

The Ram – Mega Camerupt

Honestly, Houndour's evolution was nearly chosen for this fire sign, as they are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that evoke the greatest apprehension. However, a Mega Houndoom comes across as always furious, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, renowned for being playful, light-hearted, and impulsive. That's why the Ram much more akin to Mega Camerupt, which only erupts when provoked. Remain on the friendly side of either and benefit from a strong partner; if you cross them, prepare to get burned.

Taurus – Mega Heracross

Similar to a loyal Bull, the steadfast Heracross, whether in its regular and Mega form, has assisted numerous trainers in Legends: Z-A. While dependable, both the creature and a Taurus are also battle-oriented, and – be it their trainer or a strong opinion – will stand up for their position unwaveringly. What about Super Heracross that recalls most of my Taurus friends, however, is its unabashed passion for treats. Many previous Pokédex entries mention their craving for tasty tree sap and how it employs its appendage to hoard it everything, which is pure Taurus energy.

Gemini – Mega Medicham

Look at this total royalty. You cannot convince me this creature is not the life of any gathering, offering an constant fountain of gossip to anyone who wants to hear. Much like an enrapturing, gregarious Gemini, it's incredibly easy to imagine Super Medicham mesmerizing an whole open area with their tales. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also mentions its capacity to predict an enemy’s next moves, which sounds very similar to a people-smart Twins.

The Crab – Super Manectric

Fans were captivated from the violet starfish, and that’s exactly the same vibe a Lion brings to the table. This Pokémon is also rumored to be transmitting radio waves from its red core out into space, and it’s just like a Lion to be putting on a performance, albeit for aliens.

Virgo – Super Victreebel

The always-ready and constantly-worried Maiden is ideally encapsulated in Super Victreebel, the Mega with perpetual acid reflux. The zodiac symbol known for being charmingly judgmental is clearly reflected throughout this creature's whole evolutionary chain, from a perpetually shocked expression like a Maiden when you inform them you lack a 401(k), to its inverted face that’s just like the symbol a Maiden sends to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of making a plan.

Libra – Super Audino

Look at this gentle, empathetic creature, who uses the feelers on its auditory organs to tell how people are feeling by their pulse. Always compassionate – sometimes to a detriment – and trying to keep the peace, there are many Libras who would likely benefit from Mega Audino’s skills. Though, to be frank, it would probably just cause them to stress even more about others.

The Scorpion – Super Banette

This Ghost-type is a creature with a surprisingly tragic origin: Discarded as a doll, it gained sentient through pure resentment and swore revenge on its previous caretaker. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “increases its vindictiveness.” That seems precisely like several conversations I’ve had with my intense Scorpion friends. A Scorpio loves cosmic justice and retribution, making them the ideal pair with Mega Banette.

Sagittarius – Mega Hawlucha

Both Super Hawlucha and Archers are constantly staging a show. Being a Sagittarius myself, the amount of times I’ve referred to myself some version of a “silly little jester” is innumerable. The showiest and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its description even notes how it “poses to show off its strength.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius counterpart I can think of.

The Goat – Super Absol

Did you know that a Super Absol has the power to predict calamities in advance? That exudes the exact same vibe as a Capricorn, who often always believe they’re right. The thing is, much like a prophetic Mega Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute initial Mega Evolution that players encounter in Legends: Z-A – just like a Goat to get in on the ground floor of the Super Form craze.

Aquarius – Mega Chandelure

Detached air sign Aquarius is possibly the non-flame placement that is closest to a fire sign – its counterpart is Leo, and there are countless jokes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being unpredictable accomplices. Mega Chandelure’s dual Spirit/Flame category fits perfectly with this, and the Super Form's overall intimidating aura is also very Water Bearer.
